This site collects as little as it can. Here is what it keeps, why, and how to have it removed.

Email list

If you subscribe, I keep your email address, when you signed up, which form you used, and the site or link that first brought you here. I use it only to send new essays and series updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Resend stores the list and delivers the emails. If you unsubscribe, I keep your address only so you aren't emailed again. If it's signed up again later, you'll get a welcome email with an unsubscribe link. Ask and I'll delete it entirely.

Contact form

When you send a message, I receive your name, email address, what you wrote, and the site or link that first brought you here. I use it to reply. It reaches my inbox through Resend, and I keep it as long as the conversation is useful. If you tick the box for new essays, your address also joins the email list.

How the site knows where you came from

When you arrive, the site notes the page you landed on and the site or campaign link that sent you, in your browser's session storage. It clears when you close the tab, and it only reaches me if you contact me through a form.

Analytics

The site is hosted by Vercel. Vercel Web Analytics counts page views without using cookies. It records the page, the site that referred you, and general details such as country, browser and device type.

Your choices

To stop emails, use the unsubscribe link in any of them. To see, correct, or delete what I hold about you, get in touch and I'll handle it within a month. I don't sell or share your information, and I don't use it for advertising. If you're in the EU or UK, the email list relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time, and you can complain to your local data protection authority.

Who's responsible
